Ragland, Glenda

 

Glenda Colwell Ragland, a long time residnt of San Saba went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2009 in Austin, Texas. She fought a good battle with Myleodysplastic Syndrom for the past two years. Glenda was born December 23,1941 in San Saba, Texas, the daughter of William F. Colwell and Frances B. Perry Colwell. Glenda worked as a third generation Hwy Mail Contractor for 26 years. She attended the Parkview Baptist Church.

Glenda is survived by her husband, Bob Ragland of San Saba; and her children and their spouses; one son, Robert Ragland and his wife Kellie of Canyon Lake; two step-sons, Ron Ragland and his wife Marcia of San Antonio; and Harold (Hal) Ragland of Midland; two daughters, Traci French and her husband Frank of Kempner; and Kerry Snider of Aurora, CO.; six grandchildren, Blake Ragland; Rachael Ragland; Nathan French; Brandon French; Winston Snider, and Waylon Snider; one aunt, Audrey Perry of Kingsland and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Glenda is preceded in death by her mother and father, William F. Colwell and Fannie B. Colwell; two brothers, John Perry Colwell and Billy Ray Colwell; and one sister, Lettie Ann Jarrett.

The family received friends, Saturday, January 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services were held Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev.

Joshua Crutchfield officiating and Rev. Clyde Dodd Assisting. Glenda had an Eastern Star Service as were her wishes. Glenda also requested that she have active and retired EMS gentlemen as her pallbearers and Brother Tye, and his wife LaRae, and Glenda's friend Stacy Vierus of Cherokee sing some songs. So even in death she had things prepared as she wanted them.

Glenda was laid to rest alongside her mother and father at Cherokee Cemetery.

Reeves, Ralph

Ralph Reeves, 84, of Llano, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Llano County Memorial Hospital. He was born March 14, 1925 in Pear Valley, Texas, the son of Urban Ransom Reeves and Bertie Hutchison.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Reeves of Llano, Texas; his daughters Judy Wiley and her husband Tommy Joe of Iola, Texas; Janet Morgan and her husband John of Glenn Heights, Texas, and Marretta Nobles-Davison and her husband Edward of Llano, Texas; his grandchildren Jody Wiley and his wife Debra; Marcia Wiley, Charley Morgan, Annissa Nobles, Marcus Nobles, Ryan Nobles, and Hayleigh Davison; his step-grandchildren Christopher Morgan and John Morgan III; his great-grandchild Taylor Michelle Keleman; his step great-grandchildren Ashley Morgan and Amber Morgan; his sister Alice Kebbell and her husband Kenneth of Copperas Cove; his Aunt Glenzona Ratliff; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Vaughn Reeves, and his two sisters Thelma Wallace and Ila Nell Lumpkin.

Services were held Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Castleberry officiating.

Interment followed at China Creek Cemetery.

The family received friends at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

The family requests that memorials be made to the China Creek Cemetery Association.
